Vision & Values
Recently BCC changed its tagline to “living inside out”. Stewart Keiller explains “As a church our number one value before anything else is the presence of God. Moses cries out to God “unless your presence goes with us then we will not move from this place”... well that’s how we feel. If you cut us in the middle like a stick of rock you read the presence of God. “Living inside out” means to value the presence of God, to dwell in His courts, to make Him the focus of our attention. But we are a community and not just individuals, we have a shared desire, a common family. When we let the presence of God by his Holy Spirit fill us we get changed on the inside. We sort out our hearts, the very gateway to His presence, the Kingdom of Heaven is an invisible Kingdom birthed in our hearts. So we live from the real place of the Holy Spirit creating in us His house!”
Stewart goes on to say “but it can’t stay inside! The consequence to being filled with God’s Spirit is the transformation of the world around us. It’s not that we have to work hard at “doing” stuff, rather it is the inevitable flow from us. When the life of God springs up on the inside the consequence is the flow of God out of us. He is an abundant God, He keeps filling us so there is more than enough to give away. “Living inside out” means that we live with healed lives, focussing on the presence of God and letting it shape the world around us. ... why wouldn’t people want that!”
We are on a journey to discover God in His fullness. We value a good God, who is totally generous all the time, and we want to reflect that. We are a people that love to be shaped by the Word of God (the Scriptures) and the prophetic flowing through us. We are a people with a profound sense of the Father’s love for us and so father each other to fulfill our God given destiny. As a community of God, we having a growing revelation of being His kids, we are “sons of God” and heirs of all that he has promised. We are passionate releasers of the power of the Kingdom of Heaven, we believe in seeing heaven’s reality released on earth, seeing sick people made well and broken lives renewed. We don’t want to settle back but rather be territory takers, fulfilling our apostolic mandate to increase the realm of God’s Kingdom on earth. We want a revival in our nation.... well that gives you an idea! |
