Administrative Assistant: Venue and Finance - Bath Forum Ltd
Bath Forum is an interesting and varied building to work in - home to both Bath Forum Ltd, running large scale events, including live music concerts and comedy, and to Life Church Bath which gathers every Sunday and on a smaller scale during the week. The building can host around 1,700 people per event - something in the order of 150,000 people coming through the doors each year.
We are looking for someone with the right personal qualities, skills and experience to help us with the admin tasks associated with running a live events venue of this scale, joining the dots between the operational and financial tasks that arise from it. The right candidate will have the opportunity to shape this new role within the existing small team, working for the Venue Manager and the Finance Manager,
The venue administration will involve ticketing; ticket agent reporting; marketing on-sale tasks; supporting the admin side of staff rotas; handling emails and some customer service tasks, alongside general administrative tasks in support of the Venue Manager. Financial tasks will include cash handling - till float checking & preparation; some banking tasks; paper-based finance admin, e.g. preparation of venue hire settlement information for the Finance Manager; ticket manifests; time sheet preparation etc.
Training for particular tasks can be given, but the successful candidate would ideally have some knowledge of venue / events work or related activities and have relevant finance experience as well as a friendly, flexible and adaptable approach.
Hours of work would normally be 8:30am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, with one hour lunch break. Salary will be dependent on skills and experience, in the range £18,500 - £20,000 pa. For a full job description and person specification please email staffing@BathForum.co.uk
